A gentle, hands-on therapy supporting your body's ability to rest,
recover and restore balance

Upledger Craniosacral therapy releases deep-seated tensions within the central nervous system, making it perfect if you are looking for profound relief without acupuncture needles. I safely address chronic fatigue, headaches, and physical stress at our quiet countryside treatment rooms in Welbourn.

Perhaps you've been living with persistent pain, recovering from illness, coping with stress or simply feel that your body is working much harder than it should. You may feel tense, exhausted or unable to fully relax, even when life finally gives you the chance to rest.

Craniosacral Therapy offers a quiet, gentle approach that encourages your nervous system to settle and supports your body's own capacity for healing.

Rather than forcing change, treatment works with your body, creating the conditions in which it can begin to release tension, recover from stress and find a greater sense of balance.

What is Craniosacral Therapy?

Craniosacral Therapy is a very gentle, hands-on treatment. Using light touch, I listen to the body's subtle movements and areas of tension, allowing treatment to respond to what your body seems to need at that particular time.

Although the touch is light, many people are surprised by how deeply relaxing the treatment feels.

During a session, some people notice warmth, gentle movement or a feeling of release. Others simply experience a profound sense of calm. Every treatment is different because every person is different.

The aim is not simply relaxation, although this is often an important part of the process. By helping the nervous system move away from a constant state of alertness, the body is often better able to recover, repair and regulate itself.

What happens during your first appointment?

Your first appointment lasts around 90 minutes, giving us plenty of time to talk and for you to ask questions.  There is no expectation that you know all about craniosacral therapy before you arrive.

We'll discuss your current symptoms, your medical history and any factors that may be contributing to how you're feeling. This helps me understand not only what's happening now, but how your health has developed over time.

Treatment is carried out fully clothed while you lie comfortably on a treatment couch.

Using gentle contact, I'll work with different areas of your body, often including the head, neck, back, pelvis or feet, depending on what seems most appropriate.

Many people find the treatment deeply peaceful, although every experience is unique. Some people notice immediate changes, while for others improvements develop more gradually over a series of treatments.

Questions

What does treatment feel like?

Everyone experiences Craniosacral Therapy differently.

Some people notice warmth, gentle movement or a feeling of release within the body. Others simply enjoy a deep sense of relaxation. Occasionally people notice emotions surfacing as their nervous system begins to settle.

There is no "right" experience.

How many treatments will I need?

This depends on your health, your goals and how long you've been experiencing your symptoms.

Some people come for a small number of treatments, we often suggest three, following a stressful period or injury, while others choose ongoing sessions to support their long-term wellbeing.

We'll review your progress together and decide what feels appropriate for you.

Working Together

I believe the best outcomes come from understanding you as a whole person rather than focusing on symptoms alone.

My role is to provide a safe, calm space where your body has the opportunity to settle, while listening carefully to your experience and adapting treatment to your changing needs.

Whether you're seeking support with persistent symptoms, recovering from illness or simply looking to feel more like yourself again, we'll work together to find an approach that's right for you.

A Calm Thoughtful Approach

Every person who comes to see me brings a different story. Some are living with long-term pain, others are recovering from illness or navigating periods of stress and change.

Whatever brings you here, my aim is the same: to listen carefully, understand what's happening for you and create a treatment that feels safe, supportive and tailored to your individual needs.

There are no routines, no one-size-fits-all programmes and no pressure to continue beyond what feels helpful.

Is Craniosacral Therapy Right for You?

If you're wondering whether Craniosacral Therapy might be appropriate for you, I'd be very happy to talk things through.

There's no pressure to book treatment. Together we can discuss your concerns, answer any questions you have and decide whether this feels like the right approach for your situation.
