Gentle, individualised treatment to restore balance, relieve pain and support your wellbeing.

Experience safe, effective, and deeply restorative acupuncture tailored to support your body's natural healing systems. Our Lincoln-area clinic uses fine, sterile needles and traditional Applied Channel Theory to target chronic pain, muscle tension, women's health issues and support your general wellbeing. Every session is specifically modified to resolve your individual symptoms and restore internal balance.

When your body has been struggling for weeks, months or even years, it's easy to feel as though you've lost your balance. Whether you're living with persistent pain, feeling overwhelmed by stress, struggling with digestive problems or simply not feeling yourself, acupuncture offers a gentle, natural way to support your body's ability to heal.

Rather than focusing on symptoms in isolation, Traditional Chinese Acupuncture looks at the whole picture. Together we'll explore what has led to your current health, identify patterns within your symptoms and create a treatment plan that is tailored specifically to you.

My aim is not simply to help you feel better today, but to support lasting improvements in your overall health and wellbeing.

Your initial consultation will last up to an hour and a half with all subsequent sessions lasting 50 minutes.  This gives us plenty of time to talk.  We will discuss your reasons for treatment, your health and agree your priorities.

I'll ask about your current symptoms, your medical history, your sleep, digestion, energy levels, emotional wellbeing and lifestyle. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, all of these pieces help build a picture of your health.

I'll also use traditional diagnostic methods such as pulse and tongue observation before explaining my assessment and discussing a treatment plan with you.

Many people tell me they leave feeling deeply relaxed, calmer and more connected with themselves.

When you don't feel well, but don't feel ill either

Not everyone comes for acupuncture because of one specific condition.

Sometimes people simply know they don't feel like themselves.

  • Perhaps your energy is lower than it used to be.
  • Your sleep isn't refreshing.
  • You feel mentally foggy.
  • Small niggles seem to be adding up.

Chinese Medicine takes these subtle changes seriously. By looking at how your symptoms relate to one another, treatment aims to restore balance before small problems become bigger ones.

Is acupuncture safe?

Questions

When carried out by a fully qualified practitioner, acupuncture has an excellent safety record.

As a member of the British Acupuncture Council, I follow strict professional standards and use sterile, single-use needles for every treatment.

Before booking you in for treatment, I'll ask questions to ensure acupuncture is appropriate for you and to discuss any concerns you may have.

During our initial, long consultation I'll ask detailed questions and answer any further queries you may have.

Occasionally a small bruise or mild aching can occur, but serious side effects are extremely rare.

Does acupuncture hurt?

The needles used in acupuncture are extremely fine, much finer than those used for injections or blood tests.

Most people feel very little as they're inserted, although you may notice a brief tingling, warmth, heaviness or dull ache. These sensations are normal and indicate that the treatment is having an effect.

Once the needles are in place, many people find the treatment deeply relaxing. Some even drift off to sleep.

Throughout your treatment I'll remain nearby and will always adjust or remove a needle if you're uncomfortable.

How can acupuncture help?

Traditional Chinese Medicine views health as a state of balance. When that balance is disrupted, symptoms can appear in many different ways.

Acupuncture works by encouraging your body's natural healing processes and supporting communication between its different systems. While you may come seeking help for one particular problem, it's common for people to notice improvements in other aspects of their health during treatment as their body begins to regain equilibrium.

Every treatment is individual because no two people experience illness in exactly the same way.

Working Together

I believe the best outcomes come from working in partnership.

My role is to listen carefully, understand your experience and provide treatment that supports your body's natural ability to heal. I'll always explain my thinking, answer your questions and adapt your treatment as your health changes.

Whether you're seeking relief from pain, support through a stressful period or looking to improve your overall wellbeing, we'll work together to help you move towards better health.

Ready to take the next step?

If you're wondering whether acupuncture could help you, then please do get in touch.  Together we can decide if acupuncture would be a useful treatment and there's no pressure to book.  If this is your first experience of acupuncture, then I would encourage you to talk to a few acupuncturists to find the best fit for you.
